The Social Speech Hub LLC ("we," "us," "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and how we protect it when you use The Social Speech Hub virtual educational program ("the Program").
2. Information We Collect
Account information: When you create an account, we collect your email address and an encrypted password. If you purchase a Family Plan, you may optionally provide your teen's email address for educational activity reminders.
Payment information: Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your credit card number, bank account details, or other payment credentials on our servers. Stripe's handling of your payment data is governed by their Privacy Policy.
Usage information: We may collect basic usage data such as which activities are accessed and progress through the program. This helps us improve the educational content and user experience.
Email communications: If you subscribe to our email list or purchase the Program, we use Kit (formerly ConvertKit) to send educational emails. Kit's handling of your data is governed by their Privacy Policy.
Promotion codes: If you use a promotion code at checkout, we record which code was used for marketing attribution purposes. This data is associated with your purchase, not with your identity beyond your email address.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to provide and improve the Program, process payments, send educational email sequences related to the Program, respond to support requests, and understand how users interact with our content so we can improve it. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for their marketing purposes.
4. Information About Minors
The Program is an educational resource designed for teens aged 12–18. Accounts are created by parents or guardians (Family Plan) or licensed professionals (Clinician Plan), not by minors directly. If a parent provides their teen's email address, we use it solely to send educational activity reminders related to the Program. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without parental consent. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child under 13, please contact us so we can delete it.
5. Data Storage and Security
Account data is stored in Google Firebase (Firestore and Authentication), which uses industry-standard encryption and security measures. We use HTTPS encryption for all data transmitted between your browser and our servers. While we take reasonable measures to protect your information, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure.
6. Cookies and Tracking
We use browser localStorage to maintain your login session and track your progress through Program activities. We do not use third-party advertising cookies. We may use basic analytics to understand how visitors use our website.
7. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services to operate the Program: Firebase (Google) for authentication and data storage, Stripe for payment processing, Kit (ConvertKit) for email communications, and Netlify for website hosting. Each service has its own privacy policy governing how they handle data.
8. Your Rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information at any time by contacting us at hello@thesocialspeechhub.com. If you wish to unsubscribe from our emails, you can use the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any email or contact us directly.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or by posting a notice on our website. Your continued use of the Program after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
