Getting Started

How does the 10-week program work? +
The Social Speech Hub is a self-paced, 10-week educational program designed to help teens build and practice social skills. Each week focuses on a different social skill topic with interactive activities, scenarios, and practice exercises. You progress at your own pace — if a week takes longer or shorter than expected, that's perfectly fine. The program includes written guidance, video demonstrations, and opportunities for reflection and practice.
What activities are included? +
Each week includes a variety of interactive activities such as scenario-based practice, conversation starters, role-play guidance, reflection prompts, and real-world application exercises. The activities are designed to be engaging and practical, helping teens apply what they learn to actual social situations. All content was developed by a multidisciplinary team of licensed school-based therapists and educators and focuses on evidence-informed social skills practices.
What devices can I use? +
You can access The Social Speech Hub on any device with a web browser — including computers, tablets, and smartphones. Simply log in to your account and pick up where you left off on any device. We recommend a larger screen (like a tablet or computer) for the best experience with reading and activities, but you can use whatever works best for you.
How do I create an account? +
Creating an account is simple! Visit our Family Plan or Clinician Plan page and follow the checkout process. Follow the checkout process, and once your purchase is complete, you'll be able to create your account with an email address and password. Your account gives you immediate access to all program content for a full year.

For Parents (Family Plan)

How does my teen access the activities? +
As the account holder (parent), you create the account with your email and password. Your teen can then log in using the same credentials whenever they're ready to work through the activities. You'll receive progress updates and can monitor their journey through the program. Many parents give their teen their own login or create a separate profile — it's up to you and what works best for your family.
Do I need to sit with my teen while they do the activities? +
It's not required, but parental involvement can be really valuable! Some parents prefer to be present during activities to support their teen and discuss what they're learning. Others let their teen work independently. Many families find a middle ground — checking in about what was learned, reviewing the activities together, or discussing how to apply skills in real-life situations. Choose what feels right for your family's dynamic.
What are the parent coaching emails? +
Over the 10 weeks, you'll receive educational emails designed to support you in guiding your teen. These emails explain the social skills being covered that week, offer tips for reinforcing learning at home, suggest conversation starters with your teen, and provide context about why each skill matters. They're meant to help you be an informed and engaged partner in your teen's learning journey — without requiring any special training on your part.
Can my teen do activities out of order? +
Yes! While the program is designed to progress through weeks 1–10 in order (since each week builds on previous social skills), you have flexibility. If your teen is more interested in a particular topic or if skipping ahead makes sense for your situation, they can do that. Most teens and parents find that following the structured sequence helps build skills progressively and provides a clear roadmap.
What happens after Week 10? +
After completing the 10-week program, your teen retains full access to all the activities and content for the remainder of your annual subscription. Many teens review activities from previous weeks to refresh their skills or revisit favorite lessons. You can go back through the program as many times as you like during your subscription period, and your plan renews annually at the same rate you originally purchased.

For Clinicians

How do I use this with my clients? +
The Clinician Plan is designed for speech-language pathologists, therapists, counselors, educators, and other licensed professionals who work with teens on social skills. You can use the activities as supplemental educational resources within your professional practice — assigning activities between sessions, reviewing them together in session, or using them as a springboard for discussion about social situations your clients are navigating. The program complements your professional work; it is not a replacement for it.
Can I use one account for multiple clients? +
The Clinician Plan license is for your use as a professional. You should not share your login credentials with clients. Instead, each client should purchase their own Family Plan account if they want personal access, or you can have them work through activities with you during sessions using your account or a demonstration. If you work with a large volume of clients and need a multi-user or site license, please reach out to us at hello@thesocialspeechhub.com to discuss options.
Do you provide session guides or documentation? +
The program includes guidance and context for each week's topic to help you understand the focus. However, at this time we do not provide formal session guides or clinical documentation templates. The activities are designed to be intuitive and can be adapted to your clinical approach. If you need specific documentation or guidance structures for your practice, please contact us — we're always interested in feedback about how to better support clinicians.
Is this a replacement for therapy? +
No. The Social Speech Hub is an educational program, not therapy or clinical treatment. As a clinician, you understand the importance of professional assessment, individualized treatment planning, and ongoing monitoring. This program is a supplemental educational resource that can support your clients' learning and practice between sessions. It should never replace professional clinical care or your professional judgment about what your client needs.
